In a recent recruitment drive, future Club Mod stars wordlife have just been added to the Modular Agency roster, together with part DJ, part videographer Ego.
Quickly named one of inthemix’s “Producers to Watch”, wordlife is the project of Sydney duo (dj’s slash producers Kato and Adam Bozzetto) who’ve been cranking dancefloors since the release of their debut EP “Birth, Punk, Rap, House, Life” on Bang Gang 12″s. The bearded duo will drop a new release on Modular Recordings’ new imprint, Club Mod, in the coming months.
What can you expect? wordlife combine soulful vocals with futuristic house n’ techno; even flipping the script to write 80bpm futuristic dancehall infused rap beats. Live, they mix deconstructed versions of their original tracks and remixes with live MPC, drum machine and vocals, to create something for the floor.
Bringing something a little different to not only the agency, but to the live stage, we present Ego. An exciting new breed of artist, Ego blurs the line between music performance and visual art. His audio-visual live show is a multi-sensory odyssey – parading herds of pop-culture samples through psychedelic cinema-scapes on-screen, all the while serving up genre-melding, club DJ sets to the dancefloor. A true pioneer in bringing together technology and entertainment, Ego’s hallmark brand of video production has gained hundreds of thousands of online views and kept him in high demand from industry and fans alike. It’s shaping up to be a big year as he continues to break the mould for artists, and wow audiences with his inimitable audio-visual art, in the club and beyond.
Tour announcements are on the horizon. Stay tuned.
