Keith Urban has scored a hat trick with his much-anticipated seventh studio album ‘Fuse’, with the album debuting simultaneously at #1 in Australia (on both the Album and Country Charts), the United States and Canada.

It follows Urban’s #1 ARIA Album chart debut in 2012 (with ‘The Story So Far’) and is the second time in the US (2009’s ‘Defying Gravity’) that Urban has hit #1 on Billboard’s Top 200 and Country Album Charts. It’s the first time that Urban has taken the #1 album spot in Canada.

‘Fuse’, which has already produced Urban’s 15th #1 US single ‘Little Bit Of Everything’, is the singer’s 4th #1 Country Album in The United States.  It shows no signs of slowing as the second single from the album, just released this week, marks Urban’s biggest radio add week of his career.

The sixteen songs on ‘Fuse’ were written, gathered and recorded over the past year and a half, and include the current Australian single ‘Shame’ as well as the first single ‘Little Bit Of Everything”. Urban takes some bold strides on ‘Fuse’, pursuing new sounds and new approaches that will surprise even his most devoted fans. This fearless experimentation is evident just from looking at the album’s credits, which reveal a list of acclaimed producers and writers who are new collaborators for Urban, including such diverse hitmakers as Butch Walker, Mike Elizondo, Jay Joyce, and Stargate.

Urban, who will return for the next season of American Idol, is currently on his US “Light The Fuse Tour 2013”, which will continue through until February 2014.
