Hip-Hop Superstar T.I. announces his debut Australian Tour to celebrate the release of his ninth studio album “Paperwork”. T.I. first visited our shores in September this year for a successful promotional tour, and now returns to perform shows in Sydney, Brisbane and Melbourne. Joining T.I. is hip-hop legend, DMX. This is the second Australian Tour for the star who has sold over 30 million albums worldwide. Both artists are known for putting on phenomenal live shows, and you can expect to hear a night of legendary hip-hop hits including “Party Up”, “Who We Be”, “X Gon’ Give It To Ya”, “Where The Hood At”, and more from DMX, and “Whatever You Like”, “Live Your Life”, “Bring Em Out”, “About the Money” and “No Mediocre” from T.I.
Throughout T.I.’s career, the multi-platinum Atlanta-native has set the standard by which all other hip-hop icons are measured, achieving four Billboard Hot 100 #1’s, and selling more than 14 million albums and 30 million singles. One of the most honoured artists working today, T.I. has been awarded 11 Billboard Awards, 9 BET Hip-Hop Awards, 3 Grammy Awards, and many more. His standout collaborations with some of music’s biggest artists include Jay-Z, Justin Timberlake, Robin Thicke, Lil Wayne, Lady Gaga, Rihanna, Drake, Kanye West and Destiny’s Child. His label imprint Grand Hustle, founded in 2003, enters its second decade of operations as a platinum-plus label for some of the most innovative hip-hop talent in the world.
Joining T.I. is 3-times Grammy nominee and actor DMX. Emerging from a career in beat boxing, DMX took New York and the US by storm in the late nineties after the release of his debut album ‘It’s Dark and Hell is Hot’ which showcased his intense delivery of clever lyrical content. His career was quickly showered with success labeling him as one of the first hip-hop artists to have four consecutive albums entering the Billboard charts at number 1, which included his best selling album “…and then there was X” which featured the hit singles “Party Up” and “X Gon’ Give It To Ya”. Not only an accomplished artist, DMX has also had a successful acting career, starring in a number of films including box office hits; Jet Li’s “Romeo Must Die” and “Belly”.
