Plus One Records are proud to be presenting a showcase evening of Brisbane talent, and they are bringing some of their fellow Brisbane Indie label friends to the party for the night: FOOTSTOMP and SUGARRUSH.
They had so much fun doing these great Plus One gigs every year for the past 5 years, that they want to share the love with locals, as well as their national and international friends here for BIGSOUND, so they thought they would start the party a day earlier.

WE ALL WANT TO
WE ALL WANT TO are that most curious of things, a genuine indie super-‐group without ego or pretence – making sublimely intelligent music for the sheer joy of it, and putting their own spin on classically-‐ melodic power-‐pop. Their self-‐titled 2010 debut album announced them as a singularly compelling act, capable of making the kind of albums that you love more and more as time goes by, full of beguiling radio rock anthems with more hooks than a bait-‐ and-‐tackle shop. WE ALL WANT TO are essential on record and completely undeniable live. Their shows are a primal collision of poppy punk, sweet folk, gritty blues and grandiose soundscapes, swirled into singalong anthems and intimate whispers, at once powerful and fragile. Their new album COME UP INVISIBLE is scheduled for release on August 27th.
HALFWAY
HALFWAY was formed by John Busby, Chris Dale (GW McLennan Fellowship Award winners 2008) originally hailing from Rockhampton, Central Queensland. Based on a mutual love of Dylan, Springsteen, Big Star and The Replacements, they left Rockhampton and headed south to put together a band with the finishing touches to the line up being added in Brisbane to round the Halfway line up off as an 8 piece. 2011 and 2012 has seen Halfway play Big Day Out , Gympie Muster, Yeppoon Festival, Caboolture Muster as well as worldwide critical acclaim plus receiving AIR and Q Music award nominations for ‘Best Album’ for their last outing AN OUTPOST OF PROMISE. So before they take some time out away from the stage to record their fourth Long Player, HALFWAY will be showcasing new material at this their possibly last show for 2012. One not to be missed.
DUBMARINE
Sound the alarm! Australia’s high-‐powered, high energy, Dub, Dancehall, Reggae, DnB, sub bass vessel Dubmarine have been rocking stages with their high-‐energy stage show, and bombastic music. Lead by the vocal gymnastics of indigenous superstar and Gangulu man D-‐Kazman, Dubmarine have a mission; to produce bass crunching, rhythm pounding, hip shaking modern music fusing elements of music from all around the world. Dubmarine have returned from a highly successful European tour taking in shows in Germany, the Netherlands, Belgium and The Czech Republic. Add to that their recent nominations for a Deadly in the Best Band of 2011 category and a 2011 Queensland Music Award nomination for track Point The Bone.
