Lana Del Rey is releasing the “Paradise” edition of her double platinum album“Born To Die” on Friday November 9th. This is being released in a number of formats and is preceded by her brand new single “Ride” – available now. Produced by the legendary Rick Rubin, Lana recorded “Ride” at the Shangri-La Studios in Malibu, California. A former bordello in the 50’s, The Shangri-La became home to the likes of Bob Dylan and Eric Clapton and Martin Scorsese used it as a location for “The Last Waltz”.  Rubin has previously worked with the likes of Jay Z, Johnny Cash and The Beastie Boys. “Ride” was written by Lana and “Video Games” collaborator Justin Parker.

So much more than a usual re-release “Born To Die -The Paradise Edition” will be available on CD, download, vinyl and as a special box set. All formats include 8 brand new songs, including “Ride”. The Deluxe Box set also includes a remix CD, a video DVD, 7″ vinyl of “Blue Velvet” and four art prints. The I-tunes version includes an instant gratis track “Burning Desire”.

It has been a memorable and meteoric 12 months for Lana. After making her TV debut on the UK’s Later With Jools Holland to great acclaim, she won Q Magazine’s Next Big Thing Award, received a much coveted Ivor Novello Award and has since appeared on top shows across Europe and the US, including The Late Show With David Letterman, American Idol, Tonight with Jonathan Ross and The Voice in the UK. Her refreshingly eclectic style has been praised in UK Vogue and New York Times’ T Style Magazine, and she’s graced a dozen covers including Billboard, Complex, Q, NME, UK and Australian Vogue, Wonderland and GQ, where she also won the accolade of “Woman Of The Year”. By January 2012, Lana won Best International Breakthrough Artist prize at the Brit Awards.

She has spent much of 2012 touring the world to great acclaim with the likes of The Guardian saying “exuding film-noir class, her voice was fine and her charisma off the scale”. Lana has also recently been named the face of the new Jaguar F-Type car, H+M fashion and has had the rare accolade of a Mulberry bag named after her. Her album “Born To Die” has sold over 2.5 million copies worldwide, with her singles selling over 4 and a half million copies. Lana is currently planning a worldwide tour for 2013.
