Critically acclaimed Brisbane band Halfway will launch their fourth LP Any Old Love at the Old Museum on Feb 8th, 2014.
Any Old Love is a series of songs which are based around a story set in Barcaldine, Central Queensland. It tells a tale of hope and hopelessness as a young couple try to ride out the early years of their relationship in a regional town during the late 1970’s.
Any Old Love sees the return of esteemed Go-Betweens founder Robert Forster as producer, having worked with Halfway on their previous record ‘An Outpost of Promise’, reuniting with new Halfway member and fellow Go-Between John Willsteed. The band also attracted the ear of legendary Replacements producer Peter Jesperson who lent his weight as co-producer with Willsteed.
