Ghost Wash

Published on September 17th, 2012

Oh yeah! One of the cooler bits of the Brisbane Festival could well be Ghost Wash. Featuring sound artist John Willsteed and video artist Tina Havelock Stevens, you can “Experience the angst and angularity of Brisbane music from the late 70’s & 80’s in a spectacular live performance.”

Drawing music, voices, images and lyrics from bands like The Saints, Xero, The Leftovers and The GoBetweens, Ghost Wash emerges from a disappeared musical era with sound art, visual projections and musical improvisation.

Tapping into the frequencies, the electromagnetic pulse of space andtime, establishing new tones and colours, this show promises to evoke the spirit of a very punky past.

It’s all happening this Wednesday and Thursday night [Sept 20 & 21] at 8pm
Venue:
