Festival Records, the iconic Australian label distributed by Warner Music, is set to release limited vinyl DOUBLE LP editions of a selection of acclaimed and recently released compilations for Record Store Day on Saturday 19 April

Leading the pack are much-requested vinyl editions of Festival’s two collections of ‘70s Australian sounds – Boogie: Australian Blues, R&B and Heavy Rock From The ‘70s, featuring the likes of Chain, Blackfeather, Billy Thorpe & the Aztecs, the Dingoes, the La-De-Das, Rose Tattoo, Stevie Wright, Cold Chisel, Madder Lake, Sid Rumpo and more; and Boogie! Presents Silver Roads: Australian Country-Rock & Singer Song-Writers Of The ‘70s, featuring Country Radio, the Dingoes, Richard Clapton, Axiom, Russell Morris, Stars, Doug Ashdown, Margret RoadKnight, Flying Circus  and more.

Staying in the same place stylistically, there will also be vinyl editions of the three compilations put together by esteemed UK DJ/producer Dean Rudland focusing on the fringes of American roots music from the late ‘60s and ‘70s. These title are: A Different Kind Of Blues (including psychedelic efforts from Muddy Waters and Howlin’ Wolf and Little Richard covering Creedence, as well as Captain Beefheart & His Magic Band, Dr John, Levon & The Hawks and more), Cosmic Country (Gram Parsons, David Crosby, Crazy Horse, the Everly Brothers, Grateful Dead, Gene Clark and more) and Heavy Soul (Allen Toussaint, James Luther Dickinson, Little Feat, Wilson Pickett, Aretha Franklin and more).

These special 2014 Record Store Day releases will be available in limited editions of 600 copies each.
