Following her first single, “Let It Go“, off her compelling new solo album Sound The Alarm , which is set to arrive later this year, Roz Pappalardo strikes back again releasing her second ambiguous single off the album, “Immune” on May 29.

“Immune” has a strong story line that stems back two years ago about her long journey of self learning and strength. “I wrote this song then. 2 years ago BC (Before Covid).  Then when my world seemed like it was in apocalypse … but now it is.  I’ve realised I am a mass gathering specialist – the more people the better – in my professional and personal life, so learning to live with myself as a result of that realisation has been quite the journey. It’s been a short journey, but a steep steep learning curve. What I’ve understood is that I’m a fighter, a warrior and pretty much OK on my own. I’m strong. Immune.”

Recording and mixing at Blackbox Studios alongside Jeff Lovejoy and not having any preconceived ideas about the direction of her album, Roz “just wanted to have fun and be authentic.” She went on collaborating with close to 10 people on her album including Rob SherwoodEnzo RussoSalliana Campbell , Silas Palmer and Anthony Dettori.

Her first weekend of recording resulted in “18 bottles of wine, 9 bass and drum tracks in one weekend, one washboard track, 3 sneaky sound effects, 1 pair of crutches, 1 flight change, 6 early morning flights, 1 time stuck inside a car port, 1 vocal down, 2 (or 3) acoustic guitar tracks down, 10 or maybe 12 different guitars, 5 amazing home cooked meals, and that was just the beginning.” says Roz.
