In Brief:
ATLAS, the debut album from rising Sydney dance juggernaut RÜFÜS, has debuted at #1 in the ARIA charts this week. Their fans have been quick to snap up tickets to their Sept/Oct album tour, with shows in Sydney, Melbourne (3x Corner Hotel shows), Brisbane and Fremantle all SOLD OUT. The band have announced a string of extra shows in capital cities, including a fourth and final Melbourne show at The Corner, Monday September 23rd, a second show at the Hi Fi in Sydney, Friday October 18th and a second show at the Zoo in Brisbane, Thursday October 3rd. These will be the band’s last ticketed shows for 2013.
This comes off the back of recent mainstage festival shows in Russia and a string of local announcements that will see the guys playing to some big crowds this summer at; Listen Out party, Falls Festival, Southbound festival and the Big Day Out 2014.
ATLAS was a DIY labour of love; written, produced and recorded by the band between two studios they built themselves. One at a remote farmhouse on the NSW South coast, the second in a hollowed out water tank under one of their parents houses.
