From the pen of Australian DOP turned Director Dan Macarthur comes Nice Package, a gangster-comedy currently being filmed in Brisbane.
With a coveted unknown package at the centre of the commotion, coveted by no less than a ‘wannabe thief, his gay best friend, a sexy hostage and some thugs’, Nice Package is taking audiences back to a time of fast-food, flashy cars, leather and mystery.
Having already established himself as a successful Director of Photography, Nice Package is Dan’s first foray into developing and directing his own feature script (also producing alongside Melanie Poole). Dan’s been proven a seasoned international and local filmmaker, bringing his shooting style to films such as Deception (starring Cuba Gooding Jr), Blood Money (starring Pitbull) and a wide range of Australian projects such as the upcoming The Suicide Theory.
Actor Dwayne Cameron (Mr and Mrs Murder) helms the cast as Frostie, a practising thief, that includes Leon Cain (Brian), Renaud Jadin (Terry), Ron Kelly (Big Boss), Ben Weirheim (Cogzy) and recent QUT graduates Isabella Tannock and Ashley Lyons rounding out the eclectic mix as Michelle and Reeco respectively.
The project is being filmed in Brisbane, and has a Facebook page rife with on-set pictures and snippets of the film and information about cast and crew.
